A legal partner for organisations that build for the long term
Batat was founded to be the trusted partner of companies, commercial entities and the non-profit sector in Saudi Arabia.

Our story
In a market where change is fast and regulation keeps moving, investors and institutions need partners who anticipate challenges and make compliance an advantage.
We see the law as a tool for building organisations that last, as well as for resolving disputes. We combine deep working knowledge of local regulation with current practice in governance and compliance.
Our work rests on Saudi law and international standards such as ISO 37000, ISO 37301, COSO and the OECD/G20 principles, and is built on specific, measurable deliverables.

Our vision
To be the trusted strategic and legal partner of organisations leading institutional transformation, and of the governance and compliance frameworks behind it, across the Kingdom.
Our mission
To help clients in every sector grow sustainably and protect their interests, through legal solutions and governance frameworks designed around their needs, and a proactive partnership that supports their continuity.

FAQ
Before you book
Do you work with investors and companies outside Saudi Arabia?
Yes. We work with foreign investors remotely through video meetings, and we provide notarisation through the notary public and electronic notarisation for powers of attorney and incorporation contracts, which reduces the need for you to be present in person.
How are your fees calculated?
Fees are agreed before work starts: fixed amounts or defined packages, with payments tied to deliverables on larger projects. You know the cost before you commit.
Can my company have ongoing legal support?
Yes. We offer ongoing legal advice on a monthly or annual retainer, so you have a legal team that knows your business and is there when you need it, without the cost of an in-house department.
How do you protect my confidential information?
We are bound by confidentiality under the Law of Practice of Law and its regulations, sign non-disclosure agreements where needed, and apply document retention and destruction controls. We also run a conflict-of-interest check before accepting any engagement.
Do you represent clients in court?
Yes. We plead before the competent courts, judicial and arbitral committees, the Board of Grievances and banking dispute committees, and handle enforcement of judgments and executive instruments.
What happens after I submit a request?
Your request reaches our team directly. We contact you to confirm the appointment and get an initial understanding of your matter. The consultation then takes place in person or by video call, and if you need our services you receive a clear plan and fee proposal.
Why does the request form open on the Smart Lawyer platform?
It's the platform we receive consultation requests on, so your request reaches our team directly and we contact you from there to confirm your appointment. What you share with us is covered by the same professional confidentiality we apply to every matter.
Every decision you make today has legal consequences tomorrow.
Book a consultation with the Batat team, in person or by video. Our fees are agreed before we start, and everything you share with us is covered by professional confidentiality.
